Sarah & Dave are two of the loveliest people you’ll meet. I’ve known Sarah for a number of years now, going back to when she choreographed a musical that I had the privilege of performing in. It’s always great fun shooting friends’ weddings because you’ve had so many memories and laughs and good nights out on the town! She’s a smart, genuine, outgoing, and caring soul and infectiously spreads cheer to everyone lucky enough to know her. Dave is equally a champion who’s become a good mate over the past few years, and has a passion for music, sports and great films (and the occasional bad one – The Room is so bad yet so good amirite?!). He’s a deep thinker and is blessed with intelligence. Dave & Sarah’s romance blossomed after they met through work and they eventually decided to tie the knot in a beautiful ceremony at St Thomas More in Brighton-Le-Sands. We partied hard at this wedding – Dave’s Lebanese background saw to it that the music, food, and dancing were top-notch, and nobody was let down. Thanks Dave & Sarah for having me capture your day, I had a blast! I hope you enjoy these memories from Sarah & Dave’s Wedding :)

I’ve never taken a lot of travel photos. Mostly because I don’t think I’m very good at them, and also I tend to get caught up in the enjoyment of experiencing new cultures that I simply forget. However, this trip was different. Vietnam has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, and my good mate Oliver and I decided late in 2015 that we were keen to set off on an adventure. I’m going to let the below photos speak for themselves but this represents a selection of images from trekking in Phú Lương, cycling / kayaking in Cúc Phương near Ninh Binh, more trekking in the high country at Sa Pa (where we nearly froze to death in temperatures down to -1C!), a boat cruise at Ha Long Bay, and finally a train journey down to Hội An where we spent the last three days of our two week trip. Enjoy!

For the photographers – this is about 80% film, shot with a Canon A1 & 50mm lens using a variety of cheap consumer Kodak & Fuji films. The rest I shot on my trusty Fujifilm X100s.

I’m just so in love with you. Those were Rich’s words to Kirby during his reception speech after their beautiful Newcastle wedding. Everyone in the room nearly melted. And that’s just a glimpse of how much these two adore each other.
Kirby and Rich met doing what they love. They’re both athletes, with Rich having a penchant for a triathlons and Kirby being a marathon aficionado – she has competed in long distance running events all around the world including the prestigious Boston Marathon in 2015. The flirting all started during a chance meeting at an event and the rest, as they say, is history.

I had the privilege of getting to know Kirby through my dear friend Becky who was one of the bridesmaids on the day. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the weather stayed dry despite a prediction of a 70% chance of rain. Sometimes these days don’t go exactly to plan and we got told off for going down to Glenrock Reserve (I didn’t know it was private property!) then had to trek down the long way through the bush to get to the lagoon. Kirby, you’re a champion for doing that in heels!

Kirby & Rich, you’re both wonderful people and I had such an amazing time documenting your Newcastle wedding. Thanks for trusting me and listening to my crazy ideas. I hope you enjoy looking through these images from the day.

(P.S. Rich & Kirby’s first date was at a coffee shop so this song I think is very appropriate!)

Flowers: Two Wild Hands
Venue: Sprout Dining at Crown & Anchor
Cake: MmmBake

I have known Kent for about eight years now. In fact, he is one of the reasons I grew interested in photography in the first place when, in my second year of university, we were in a singing group together and he let me pick up his Canon 20D. I was hooked, and together over the next five or so  years we shot a plethora of weddings.

Capturing Kent’s wedding was a beautiful experience as he’s found his soulmate in Eve. They’re a wonderful couple and I hope you enjoy these images of their wedding day.

What a wedding, what a day!

On the 8th of March, Andrew (from Sydney) and Geraldine (from France) tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. Their story is unique and filled with humour (Andrew asked Geraldine to marry him three times!) but I’m going to let the pictures tell the story.

I had so much fun documenting their perfect wedding and am thrilled to show these images.

He’s from Denmark. She’s Aussie. They met whilst both working in Singapore and the rest, as they say, is history. These two are so in love and I had a wonderful time down at Bradley’s Head (despite the wind) photographing their Australian reception.
